From MARIE to Chest! – First Limited Edition

This month we created the first Martiform Limited Edition.

On March 8th we celebrate International Women's Day and it was on this date that we introduced the MARIE Apron to the world!

Inspired by one of the greatest female characters in history and dedicated to all women for whom gastronomy is part of their lives, our MARIE Apron was developed to help promote gender equality in the job market, not only in gastronomy, but in all sectors.

For each apron sold, we donate a portion of sales to the Portuguese Institution for Women's Rights (http://plataformamulheres.org.pt).

We are grateful for the success that Apron MARIE achieved to all those who contributed to this cause.

Why are we inspired by Madame Marie Curie?

It was 1911 and Madame Marie Curie received her second Nobel Prize, this time in the field of Chemistry, having been co-laureate in 1903 in the field of Physics, being only one of two people double laureate in the History of the Nobel Prize.

She became the first woman to be Director of the Physics Laboratory at the legendary Sorbonne University and after her death in 1934, she became the first woman to be transferred to the Pantheon in Paris, in 1995.

At a time when Science was a realm exclusively reserved for men, we found an unavoidable symbol of genius and brilliance.

Marie Curie, achieved her legacy with an incomparable mind that, through hard work, motivated unwavering respect for the scientific and global community.
